ApoE Leu28Pro

Apolipoprotein E is protein whose different isoforms are associated with variations in the level of fats and lipoproteins, and thus the occurrence of CARDIOVASCULAR diseases. 

Leu28Pro is the second most common apoE variant. The presence of this variant is an indicator of an increased risk of atherosclerosis, and therefore an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases and dementia.
