Rotavirus/Astrovirus/Norovirus
Acute intestinal infection is one of the most common causes for hospitalization of patients.
The pathogens that cause gastroenteritis are viruses from the groups of Rotaviruses, Noroviruses and Astroviruses.
The most common symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration, increased body temperature, loss of appetite, abdominal pain and headache, and in some cases conjunctivitis and sore throat.
Viruses are highly infectious and can be transmitted through consumption of unclean water, insufficient hand hygiene, contaminated food or surfaces.
This test is required for correct diagnosis and therapy in order to confirm the viral cause.
